Lu - Lung Channel of hand Greater Yin
The Primary Lung Channel is called hand Greater Yin. It originates from the Middle Burner (Stomach) and passes downward to connect with the Large Intestine. Returning upward again, it goes along the upper orifice of the Stomach, crosses the diaphragm and enters it's associated Organ, the Lungs. Emerging at Lu-1 (Zhongfu) on the area between the Lung and shoulder, the Channel descends along the anterior side of the upper arm (on the lateral border of the Biceps Brachii Muscle), lateral to the Heart and pericardium Channels. Reaching the elbow, it continues along the anterior radial aspect of the arm and reaches the styloid process of the radius. It then goes to the thenar eminence and ends at the medial side of the tip of the thumb (Shaoshang, Lu-11).
