| SJ(TB) - Triple Burner Channel of hand Lesser Yang
 |
The Primary Triple Burner Channel of hand Lesser Yang originates on the ulnar side on the tip of the ring finger, ascends between the fourth and fifth metacarpal bones on the dorsum of the hand and through the wrist, traverses the forearm between the ulna and radius, and continues upward across the olecranon and the lateral side of the upper arm to the shoulder. Here it intersects the Small Intestine Channel at SI-12 (Bingfeng) and meets the Governing (Du) Channel at Du-14 (Dazhui) before crossing back over the shoulder. It then intersects the Gall Bladder at Gb-21 (Jianjing), from which it enters the supraclavicular fossa and goes to the mid-chest region at Ren-17 (Shanzhong). From here, it connects with the Pericardium and descends across the diaphragm to the abdomen linking with the Upper, Middle, and Lower Burners, to which this Channel belongs. A branch separates from the main pathway in the chest at Ren-17 (Shanzhong) and ascends to emerge superficially from the supraclavicular fossa at the neck. Here, it proceeds upward behind the ear, intersecting the Gall Bladder Channel at Gb-6 (Xuanli), Gb-5 (Xuanlu), and Gb-4 (Hanyan) on the forehead before winding downward across the cheek to the region below the eye. It intersects the Small Intestine Channel at SI-18 (Quanliao). Another branch separates behind the auricle and enters the ear. It then emerges in front of the ear where it intersects the Small Intestine Channel at SI-19 (Tinggong), crosses the Gall Bladder Channel at Gb-3 (Shangguan), and traverses the cheek to terminate at the outer canthus of the eye at SJ-23 (Sizhukong), linking with Gb-1 (Tongziliao). Another branch connects with its Lower Sea point at UB-39 (Weiyang) and follows up the course of the Bladder Channel to enter the Bladder. *The Triple Burner Channel has 27 points.
