| Du9 Zhiyang (Reaching Yang)
Where to find it:
Below the spinous process of the seventh thoracic vertebra, approximately level with the inferior angle of the scapula.
What it does:
Resolves Damp Heat, regulates the Liver and Gall Bladder, moves Qi, and opens the chest and diaphragm.
When to use it:
Jaundice, cough, asthma, stiffness of the back, and pain in the chest and back.
How to needle it:
Upward oblique insertion, 0.5-1.0 cun. Moxibustion is applicable.
